The Town Clerk’s office offers notary services at no charge. Please bring a form of identification with you, and do not sign your form until you are standing before the notary.
Vital Records
The Town Clerk’s office contains birth, marriage and death certificates of Moretown residents. The records are open to the public. In order to obtain a birth or death certificate, an application needs to be completed. To obtain an application, click here. Certified copies are $10.00.
Green Mountain Passports
A discount program for seniors and veterans with disabilities.
The Passport allows free admission to Vermont State Parks (excluding overnight camping and other park fees), Vermont State Historic Sites, and events which are fully State sponsored. For more information click here.
To be eligible, you must be a resident of Vermont and
- 62 years of age or more or
- Totally disabled as a result of a disease or injury suffered while serving in the Armed Forces or
- A resident of the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington.
To receive your Green Mountain Passport, fill out the Green Mountain Passport Application, bring it to your Town Clerk’s office and pay a $2.00 fee. You can also mail in your form and payment with a self-address envelope to:
